Winner of Tokyo Competition

Diego Martin-Etxebarria is the winner of the 17th Tokyo International Music Conducting Competition, aswell as the Hideo Saito Award and the Asahi Award.

Winner of the 1st Prize, the Hideo Saito Award and the Asahi Award at the 17th Tokyo International Music Competition for Conducting, he recently made his debut at the Berliner Staatsoper conducting Paul-Heinz Dittrich's operas Die Blinden & Die Verwandlung. Principal Conductor of the Akademisches Orchester Freiburg (2010-2012) and the Euskadiko Ikasleen Orchestra (Basque Country, 2007-2008), has also guest conducted the Bilbao Symphony, Euskadi Symphony, Galicia Symphony, Tenerife Symphony, Ciudad de Granada Symphony, Erzgebirgische Philharmonie Aue, Vogtland Philharmonie,. . .
